BRAND NEW FOR 2022 WITH A 2 PERSON HOT TUB!

Now available to book, we have just finished our first canvas bell tent which is 7 x 5metres and sleeps up to 3 adults or a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children (1 superking bed + 1 single bed).

There is a fully kitted outdoor kitchen area (please see pictures), which includes pots, pans, crockery, a double gas burning stove, fridge, fully working sink and washing up facilities.The tent is fully set up – all bed linen is included and ready for your arrival, just bring yourself, towels and provisions. The tent has 1 superking size bed and 1 single bed and are fully made up ready for you to roll into. They also have a small outbacker, and a wood burning stove set on a slate hearth for cooler evenings. Also inside you will find a fire guard, fire extinguisher, hearth tools, fire lighters, and loads of kindling. You are welcome to bring your own logs but if needed, we do sell them on site at £6 per bag. (Please be aware the wood burners do run hot! And may not be suitable for small children if left unsupervised).

You will also find side tables, lanterns, tea light chandelier, some solar/battery lighting, carpeted flooring and decor that we hope you will enjoy!

Outside your tent you will have a picnic bench, a full kitchen area with an LPG 2 ring cooker, a water container and a washing up bowl, along with an LPG camping fridge, a fire pit, running water and also a two person log fired hot tub. Showers and toilets are around 50 metres away; they are brand new as of August 2021 and we have had great reviews so far.

With all of the above, if you don’t fancy cooking you can recharge your own batteries at our lake side café where we offer a wide range of free range breakfasts, Rijo coffee, a varied lunch menu including our own smoked trout specials, homemade cakes and scones and locally made ice cream ‘savour the flavour’! We also offer a range of breakfast packs to take away which include sausages, bacon, burgers, eggs and smoked and fresh trout. The café is open 9-5, 7 days a week. We are directly adjacent to One Planet mountain bike centre, which also has walking routes, an RSBC centre, a great café and bike hire is also available. Also adjacent to us is a laser combat centre which is great for family fun. We are around 20 minutes from Wrexham, Chester and Llangollen.

We have a bus request stop at our gateway, if you wish to explore and not drive. (The X51 route goes to Wrexham or Ruthin, Denby). With spectacular views and a wealth of activities available locally, plenty of places to visit along with our variety of fishing on site, there is plenty to do over a weekend break or a longer holiday.

If of course you wish to chill and watch the world go by, take in the views, wildlife or even the stars at night, then we have the place! We have positioned our 2 clamping tents to give you your own private space within our site and reasonable access to our facilities.

Along with our canvas bell tents, we also have a small shepherd’s hut that sleeps 4 in one double bed and 2 single bunks and has similar facilities. It has it’s own private garden – cute and beju but suitable for any time of the season. Our shepherd’s hut costs £100 per night.

Sorry, but no pets are allowed in any of our glamping accommodation.

As a small friendly team, we will always endeavour to give you a great experience whatever your passion, but we are in the countryside so please be aware of – wildlife, rabbit holes, mole hills, midges, goose poo(!), ditches, barbed wire fences, some deep water around the lakes and a poor mobile signal! But! Most of these minor risks just require common sense. As a family friendly place we hope you would respect the efforts we make and show respect to others using our site. We could fill the place with signs full of rules and regulations, but here are just some basics to consider:

* PLEASE DON’T LEAVE LITTER *
* NO LOUD MUSIC OR NOISE AFTER 21:00 *
* NO OPEN FIRES OR DISPOSABLE BAROQUES ON THE GRASS OR PICNIC TABLES *
* NO CYCLING AROUND, BEHIND OR INBETWEEN FISHERMEN – 5MPH SPEED LIMIT FOR CARS AND BIKES *
* DOGS ON THE LEAD AT ALL TIMES AND PLEASE CLEAN UP *
