Fishing at Llandegla

We have a selection of fishing across a series of lakes, ranging from family fun through to fish carefully reared to cater for the serious coarse and fly fisherman.

FLY FISHING

Fly fishing for trout is very popular at Llandegla Fishery, especially throughout the winter months. All of our lakes are spring fed. Our water colour can be ‘Gin clear’ to ‘Bovril brown’ depending on temperatures and rainfall, which all adds to the mix for interesting and varied fishing.

COARSE FISHING

We have two mixed species coarse fishing lakes, which are approximately 2 acres each. Stocked with Mirror and Common Carp to 20lb, Barbel, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Crucian Carp and Chub. 1 disabled peg is available.

TROUT FISHING WITH BAIT

We have 1 worming lake, which is approximately 1/2 an acre, which is regularly stocked with rainbow trout from 1.5 – 2lb.

FREE FAMILY FISHING

We offer a fun and relaxed introduction to fishing for children. Stocked with up to 1lb trout that you can catch and return, or take your fish home for tea (£6.50 per fish paid in the café).

FISHING TACKLE SHOP

We have a range of tackle for fly/coarse fishing available to buy in our tackle shop. The shop is fully stocked with rods, reels, nets and all terminal tackle. We also sell bait such as sweetcorn, worms and coarse pellet and paste.

TACKLE HIRE

Tackle hire is available for all types of fishing so you can just turn up and give it a go.
